Les étudiants utilisent FlexSim Software to Compete in Social Innovation Virtual Reality Contest
FlexSim was recently featured in a Virtual Reality Social Innovation Competition hosted by L'Université polytechnique de Hong Kong (PolyU). The competition aimed to enhance the awareness of the Green Deck proposal among PolyU students and provided an opportunity to create their own models and suggestions using FlexSim’s cutting edge simulation logiciel.
Before presenting, contestants were trained in using FlexSim software and 3D modeling tools by Dr. David Chan and Dr. Walter Fung. They were given the prompt to create a user-friendly virtual design that exhibits a unique 43,000 sq.m. “Green Deck” that can accommodate a wide variety of recreational, cultural, and sports facilities while solving existing problems in the district
15 different student teams entered the event with their own unique design scenarios that would be judged and evaluated on the following criteria:
- Innovation: Demonstrating uniqueness, originality, creativity, and excitement in the design of the chosen Green Deck scenario
- Conception Graphique: Exhibiting a high level of aesthetics in the overall graphic design
- L'utilisation de FlexSim Caractéristiques : En utilisant FlexSim software to create an attractive, user-friendly design with easy-to-follow instructions
- Présentation: Effectively display and explain the design concepts and principles, while demonstrating key features of the FlexSim modèle
The winning team designed a Solar Road proposal that included initiatives to adopt solar cells on pathways and greening on building surfaces to reduce energy consumption. Other teams presented beautiful 3D simulations, featuring ideas such as; establishing indoor farms and healing gardens to maximize greenery features, and offering sensory and memory stimulation to prevent dementia-specific issues.
A highlight reel of winning entries and photos of the event are available on Youtube et flickr. Pour plus d'informations, s'il vous plaît visitez le site de la compétition.
