William Nordgren Presented with the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award by Marquis Who's Who

OREM, UT, June 15, 2018 — Marquis Who’s Who, the world’s premier publisher of biographical profiles, is proud to present William Nordgren with the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award. An accomplished listee, William Nordgren celebrates many years’ experience in his professional network, and has been noted for achievements, leadership qualities, and the credentials and successes he has accrued in his field. Celebrating more than 30 years in his profession, Mr. Nordgren is the founder, president and chief executive officer of FlexSim Software Products, Inc (FSP). He began his career as an engineer with Boeing Airplanes Co. and eventually founded FSP in 1993 under the name F & H Simulations, Inc. He obtained a Bachelor of Science in manufacturing engineering technology and a Master of Science in computer integrated manufacturing, both from Brigham Young University, where he currently serves as an adjunct professor for the graduate course in manufacturing simulation. In his current position with FSP, Mr. Nordgren uses his expertise in simulation software and process improvement to expand his business into various channels around the world. Additionally, throughout his career, Mr. Nordgren has contributed his expertise to the industry as a developer of polar coordinate mills and as a co-author of the software textbook, “Applied Simulation: Modeling and Analysis Using FlexSim.” He also developed the Express It 3D presentation software for Windows operating system.

As a dedicated professional, Mr. Nordgren remains active in his industry through affiliations with professional organizations such as the Society of Manufacturing Engineers, the Institute of Industrial Engineers, and the industrial advisory board at Brigham Young University Manufacturing Engineering Department. Looking toward the future, Mr. Nordgren hopes to continue developing his business and grow into the health care industry, providing patient flow simulation and optimization for hospitals and clinics worldwide.

FlexSim Invalidates Simio's Asserted Patent

Patent Dispute Ruling
The United States Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit affirmed the judgment of the District Court of Utah in favor of FlexSim Software Products, Inc. and against Simio LLC, ending the patent infringement litigation initiated more than four years ago and sustaining FlexSim’s long-held belief that Simio’s asserted patent rights were invalid.
