Flexsim has created a container-terminal simulator called Flexsim CT, which is used to model and simulate container terminal operations and logistics. Essentially, Flexsim CT is used to optimize a terminal's resources and space by conducting "what if" analysis where "optimize" is generally defined as increasing throughput and/or decreasing costs.
Flexsim is looking for an energetic and seasoned engineer to introduce Flexsim CT as either a standalone container-terminal simulator and/or as a tool used by Flexsim to provide model-building services. Moreover, candidates should be individuals who can take-on the challenge of not only introducing a new simulation product to the container-terminal market, but they should also have the ability to create a team of support and consulting engineers for the product and associated consultative services.
Applicants should have about 10 years experience in the maritime container-terminal industry, working either for a port authority, terminal operator, or consulting company. Applicants should have the following degrees, skills and characteristics:

Flexsim Software Products, Inc., a world leader in developing discrete-event simulation software, invites applications for the position of Vice President of Software Development. A Ph.D. in Manufacturing, Mechanical, Industrial, or Computer Engineering is required. Applicants must also have a minimum of five years experience in developing 3D (virtual reality) discrete-event simulation software and three years experience using the C++ programming language.
Applicants must be able to elegantly integrate OpenGL technology within Flexsim's C++ source code environment. In addition, applicants must have a strong statistical background. Responsibilities include managing a development team of 3-5 software engineers and working closely with customer expectations. Travel is approximately 1 week per month.
